Have I mentioned we’re big fans of Trader Joe’s Dried Pomegranate Seeds? Well, we are! And this healthy combo makes a healthy and tasty breakfast.

1 T pomegranate seeds
1 banana, sliced
1-2 t agave nectar

Around my house we just can’t get enough of Trader Joe’s dried pomegranate seeds. We just LOVE them! Here’s another easy and yummy recipe featuring such a delightful treat…
Ingredients:
1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
2 T pecans
2 T Trader Joe’s dried pomegranate seeds
1 t oil
1-3 t sugar, agave or other sweetener of your choice
1 t cinnamon (or more!)
Directions: Mix all ingredients except oatmeal in a saucepan over medium heat. Heat for just a few moments, or until the pecans become slightly fragrant. Let cool, and add to your om!

I say (honey) because many people who choose not to eat animal derived ingredients will not use honey. So, for those people I encourage the use of brown rice syrup and/or agave as substitutes. I love this combination of flavors, it’s a very wholesome taste.

What’s the difference between coconut cream and coconut milk? Well according to the ingredients, coconut cream has coconut milk in it as well as some water followed by varying other ingredients depending on the brand. This morning I used Savoy Coconut Cream, seemed to do the trick!

1 T dark chocolate sauce
1 t agave
salt to taste
Directions:

I really enjoy this flavor combination. But then again, in my book, you can only go right if pineapple is involved…
Ingredients:
1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
1/3 C frozen pomegranate seeds
1/3 C frozen pineapple
1 T brown rice syrup
1 t grapeseed oil
salt to taste
Directions:
Simmer all ingredients in a saucepan over low-medium heat until everything is warm and the flavors have mingled (5 minutes). I like to add a little salt, but that’s a personal preference. Mix it all in with the oatmeal and enjoy!
