pumpkin molasses

Inspired by these delicious cookies that I made recently. I decided to use the same spices that were in these cookies…Yum!

Ingredients:

1 C cooked oatmeal
a few shakes of ginger
a few shakes of nutmeg
a few shakes of cinnamon
1 T molasses (to taste)
1 T pumpkin

Directions: Mix all ingredients together and enjoy…

Blackstrap molasses is a great source of iron and manganese…It’s a powerhouse sweetener and is tasty.

Ingredients:

1 C cooked oatmeal
1-3 t blackstrap molasses
1 T dried cherries

Directions:  Mix together and enjoy!

Molasses is a rich dark syrup and pistachios are another strong flavor.  Combined?  Yes, delicious…

Ingredients:

1 C cooked oatmeal
1 T molasses
2 T pistachio nuts

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy!

mOMent: Do you ever have pity parties?  You know, times in your life where you just mope, pout and mutter negativity?  How do you get yourself out of that mood and into a more resourceful state?  One way that works for me almost every time is to take a rest…shut my eyes and let my mind relax.  When I arise, things seem to have settled a bit and I can look at things with a new perspective.  What works for you?

molasses pinenut

Sweet and sultry is how this tastes to me… Yum!

Ingredients:

1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
1/4 C pinenuts
1 T grapeseed oil
1 T agave
1 t molasses

Directions:

Heat grapeseed oil and agave in saucepan over medium heat until it bubbles.  Add pinenuts and saute for two minutes remove from heat while you add molasses.  Stir well and return to heat for two minutes.  Pour mixture on to a parchment lined baking sheet and heat in 400 degree oven for 3-4 minutes or until slightly toasted and brown.

Let cool and then add to oatmeal…Yummy pine-nutty…

peanut butter, molasses & brown sugar

All of the yummiest earthy, sweet flavors combine to make this a very satisfying om of the day.  Not light, but not too heavy either…just peanuty perfection!


Ingredients:

1 C old-fashioned oatmeal

1 T peanut butter

1 T brown sugar

1 t molasses

1 T roasted peanuts

Directions:

Mix peanut butter, brown sugar and molasses with hot oatmeal until well combined.  Garnish with peanuts and enjoy!

mOMent: Seduction can be a powerful way to manipulate people and situations and your surroundings, in a not-so-positive sort of way.  Is there something that you manipulate using seduction?  Is there another way you can achieve your goals in a more authentic fashion?

gingerbread

This tastes just like it sounds, so if you’re a fan of gingerbread, you’ll probably enjoy this…

Ingredients:

1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
1/8 t clove
1/2 t ginger
1/2 t cinnamon
1 T brown sugar
1 T molasses
3 T milk
1 t butter
optional – raisins to taste

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and enjoy, just like a little gingerbread man in a bowl.

1 t grapeseed oil
1/8 t ginger
1/8 t cinnamon
1/8 t cinnamon

Directions:

Heat molasses, spices, oil and raisins in a saucepan until warm and well combined.  Add to oatmeal, you may not want all of the mixture because it is very strong…
