Among the many goodies we purchased at Navarro Vineyards back in February was this little delightful bottle of verjus. What is verjus you ask? It is the juice from green, unripened grapes.
Ingredients:
Verjus Simple Syrup
1 C sugar
1 C verjus
Directions: simmer sugar and verjus for 5-10 minutes until it becomes liquid and reduces to a more syrup-y consistency.
1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
2 T verjus (or more to taste)
butter to taste
Directions: Mix verjus syrup and oatmeal together, add butter if you like and eat up!
